Did Ian and Nina spend xmas and new year together?

So, Nina tells a phone interviewer that she will be spending Xmas in the mountains with 'family' and going some place hotter for New year, Mexico!

here's what she said:

"Nina Dobrev-"I rented a house in Colorado, my family will go to ski and have a white Christmas. But for New Year we want something warmer, then take a Mexican beach," said the actress in a telephone interview from Miami, but did not disclose the location will be in Mexico.
